Facing the Caribbean Sea, the hospital is laid out in successive terraces along horizontal gardens that are easily accessible for patients. A bioclimatic design inspired by local practices and tropical architecture allows it to benefit from the natural ventilation of the trade winds. The plan in the form of independent pavilions marries a contemporary architectural style with local scale and traditions.
