Answering a complicated brief in an environment that is equally so, the new technical medical unit of Fort-de-France university teaching hospital has to meet extremely rigorous anti-seismic standards, a constraining site morphology and the need for numerous functional connections. The technical and architectural challenge was to adress these multiple issues with apparent simplicity.
